Amy

Born and raised in South West England, Amy is a contemporary artist who now works from her Dorset studio. She grew up surrounded by dogs. The most notable source of inspiration was her grandparents Weimaraners, still sharing her home with this breed today.

Amy’s early studies in fashion design refined her sense of colour, mark making, and texture. Departing from traditional realism, she uses bold, unconventional colours—best known for her signature turquoise blue. This stylistic approach bridges the gap between fine art and the beloved pets they represent.

Whether working from photos or live sittings, Amy connects deeply with each portrait, capturing the unique relationship between the dog and its human. Each portrait is a lasting tribute to the deep, irreplaceable bond we share with the dogs who become such an integral part of our lives. Amys work is loved in private collections worldwide.
