AMY

Born and raised in South West England, Amy is a contemporary canine artist deeply connected to her dogs. Whether she’s in her Dorset studio or out in the fields, nature and her dogs are at the core of everything she does.

Amy’s early studies in fashion design refined her sense of color, mark making, and texture, which she applies to her mixed-media portraits. Her work goes beyond likeness; it captures the soul of each dog, from their eyes to their posture and the quirks of their personality. Departing from traditional realism, she uses bold, unconventional colours—best known for her signature turquoise blue—to create a contemporary feel while still honouring the spirit of the dog. This stylistic approach creates a timeless quality, bridging the gap between fine art and the beloved pets they represent.

Whether working from photos or live sittings, Amy connects deeply with each portrait, capturing the unique relationship between the dog and its human. This emotional depth resonates with clients worldwide, bringing her work into homes where dogs are cherished family members. Each portrait is a lasting tribute to the deep, irreplaceable bond we share with the dogs who become such an integral part of our lives.
